The
Hoffmeister Family With two of our children's birthdays in March,
the month just naturally turns into a family month for us. We
enjoyed taking breaks from our busy schedule to celebrate with
Alek as he turned 4 years old and with Brianna as she turned 2.
Our youngest Brad is now 6 months old and Arianna will be 6 years
old in June. My wife is excited because life sounds much easier to
her when you have four children 6 years old and ands rather than
four children that are 5 years and under! We thank you for your
prayers concerning our health and well-being. It was such a relief
to finally get everyone over being sick! We really enjoy serving
the Lord together as a family.
The
Church Family
Our
church rejoiced this month as eight people were baptized in the
warm waters of the Atlantic Ocean. The church has
also seen fruit in the teen ministry. We have a teen activity and
preaching service every Friday night, which has risen
from an average of 30 teens to an average of 50. With limited
space in our house and only a 5 passenger car for transport,
we adopted some rules to cut down on those who were not serious
about seeking after God. This plan worked great. The
next activity we had only 48 teens, which at least eliminated the
reed for two kids to ride in the trunk! (Just kidding). All
the inconveniences are forgotten, though, when one lost soul comes
to Christ. I was able to witness to one young man's
mother before a Wednesday night service. Though she was still a
little confused on the matter, her son wasn't; and he
was gloriously saved after church that night. His name is Ronnie.
Please pray for his mother, father, and brother that
they
would come to know the truth also.
This month we added a men's prayer meeting after soul winning on
Friday and a monthly women's Bible Study. Each of
these functions area help to the ministry here, and we ask that
you would pray for the Lord to bless in these times of
instruction and prayer. Also please keep in your prayers the needs
of the church at this time. Currently we have
half of
the
$14,000 needed
for the purchase of
a
church van. We also need the Lord to provide us with a new
location for the
church.
We trust the Lord that He will provide these needs.
God's
family
Another
request right now is for prayer concerning the Holy Spirit's
working in the lives of those around us. Trinidad is a country in
which everyone has been greatly influenced by one or more false
religions. We are finding out that there is quite a jumble of
beliefs here on the island, making it hard for people to see the
simple truths of salvation and of obedience to the Word of God and
not to the word of man. Only through much prayer will
people ever be able to see the fallacy of their long-held
traditions. Here is a list of a few people for whom our hearts are
especially burdened for salvation:
