"And the Lord make you to increase and abound in love one toward another..."

Dear Praying and Supporting Friends, Greetings once again in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. We'll we had a very nice but quiet holiday season. Being a New Yorker I don't think I'll ever get use to the summer being in December. I am happy to report that We had a great cantata in December! We had a full church, sixty plus, with many unsaved in attendance. The Lord truly blessed and when I gave the invitation I could sense that the Lord was already at work. No one came forward but hands were raised. The South Africans are not use to coming forward in a church service. Maybe it's the Calvinism that this country was under for so long, or the fact that South Africans can be a very reserved people that tend to keep their emotions and feelings to themselves. So to me it wasn't surprising that no one came forward. Having said that I know hearts were touched and the seed of God's Word was definitely sown. God's word will not return void! Praise the Lord! I also felt that as a church it had brought us closer together, which is always important. We continue to stay busy putting out God's Word, wherever and whenever we can. It's totally legal putting literature in post boxes over here so I am presently busy stuffing post boxes with gospel tracts and other gospel provoking literature. Many of the homes have very tight security and it is very difficult getting into these places. The post box many times is the only way to reach these folk, that is of course if they will take the time to read what we have to say. That's where the prayer of faith has to come in. I would most definitely covet your prayers as we try, by God's grace, to stir some spiritual interest in eternal things among the people here. Being close to end times this is not an easy thing to do. As the new year started in the church here, I have been inviting those who fulfill our church constitution requirements for church membership to join up. Last Sunday we had four new members join the church which was a great blessing. One of the ladies that joined the church has been a real blessing to my family and I. Her and her family have been corning faithfully for about eight months now and all I can say is I wish I had a hundred like her. I'm sure if you're a pastor reading this you know what I mean. She's a very humble lady but very much on fire for God. She left the church that she was going to when the pastor started correcting the Bible with Greek and Hebrew, which he knew little of. Isn't that usually the case. She had actually stopped going to church altogether when she was on the Internet and came across our name under Bible believing churches in South Africa. She contacted us and has since been coming and enjoying the church and is in full agreement with our position. It's also a blessing to see how she has been stirring up others for the Lord, which is what it's all about. I'm sure she would appreciate your prayers for her and her family as she is trying to support her family on a very low South African income. Her name is Linda Ellis. In two weeks time we will be having our first baptism of the year. I know of five that I will be baptizing but, Lord willing, there could be more. This Sunday I'll be teaching and preaching on baptism. I'll be going through the different baptism of the Bible and then focusing in on Christian Baptism as preparation for the baptismal service. I've asked Pastor Ron Sykes to come and preach the service for us, which will just add to this special day. I must say as of now we have a great spirit in the church and the folk are growing and getting excited about the Lord. I also know that when folk get excited about the Lord Satan is always ready to stir up trouble. I want to thank everyone for praying for us. We certainly couldn't be doing what were doing for the Lord without your prayers. The battles at times are fierce, but as king David said, "is there not a cause". We greatly appreciate your faithful support in such a dry and thirsty land. Keep looking up! Looking For His Soon Return,
